Since 2015, Building Kids, Inc., has started constructive play programs in several countries, including South Africa, Kenya, Sudan, and South Sudan…

Our Mission

The mission of Building Kids is to support a new generation of leaders in developing countries by promoting individual creativity, innovation, and cognitive development of needy children through constructive play.

Building Kids™, Inc., is a U.S.-based non-profit corporation formed exclusively for charitable and educational purposes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We collect new or used LEGO® bricks from individual donors and distributes the same to partner schools and community service organizations – with initial focus on African nations. Building Kids, Inc., also provides funding support and training to schools and teachers facilitating constructive playtimes with the donated bricks. Constructive playtime with LEGO gives a creative outlet to kids’ imaginations, as they learn problem-solving, design, and innovation skills.

When a little boy or girl sees a pile of LEGO, they don’t see chaos. They see a spaceship, a race car, a skyscraper, a new home — or a new world.

Building Kids, Inc., is not affiliated with the LEGO® Company (but we think they’re pretty awesome!)

Our goal is to give kids from the most challenging backgrounds the tools they need to literally build their dreams into reality.
